Author

Joy Sylvester-Johnson (M.Div, ThM) believes each of us is born with a spiritual hunger to know God. After retiring as the CEO of the Roanoke Rescue Mission, Joy has invested her time as a restorative justice and climate activist.

Illustrator

Marian McConnell has been creating art and making music, all her life. She and her husband Dano and dog Lily live in Catawba, Virginia. She also loves caving, hiking, boating, motorcycling, and being outdoors.
